Exploding Kittens is a leading game and entertainment company with a mission to inspire people to connect, laugh, and play fun games in the physical world. To date, Exploding Kittens is the #1 most-backed project in Kickstarter history and has sold over 60 million games. Started by former Xbox game designer Elan Lee and The Oatmeal’s founder Matthew Inman, Exploding Kittens and its family of games seek to reshape traditional game night into an entertaining person-to-person experience. Today, they have over 60 games available for purchase, an animated Netflix series that launched in July 2024, an exclusive Exploding Kittens mobile game for Netflix subscribers, an Exploding Kittens 2 mobile game available on iOS and Android, and a virtual reality game on Meta Quest. Note that you must apply first and Exploding Kittens will invite 100 listings to participate. You will be notified by September 17. The product and shipping is completely free. Shipping will occur late-September.

What will you receive?

1. Three (3) games, and note that one game is not family-friendly:

    • Exploding Kittens Original Edition:
      Get ready for an explosion of laughter and entertainment with the Exploding Kittens Card Game. This award-winning game is hilarious, fast-paced and is perfect to play with friends and family. It's an original edition card game for people who are into kittens, explosions, laser beams, and sometimes goats. Players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which they're out of the game until they have a defuse card. Exploding Kittens is the most-backed crowd funded project ever, the most-funded game in the history of Kickstarter, and has paved the way for peace and tranquility in the modern world.
    • Horrible Therapist (ages 17+):
      WHO KNEW THERAPY COULD BE SO FUNNY? In this adult card game you’ll create a comic about therapy with a Question, Answer, and a Treatment. Whoever puts down the funniest Treatment card wins a point. The first to 3 points wins. It's a fun and hysterical addition to your party card games collection. 
    • Row Your Goat:
      Move fast, make matches and get ready to scream! Row Your Goat is a rapid-fire picture-matching, fast slapping game.  Get rid of your cards by placing them in a grid. The second you see a matching set of 3 in a row, slap the nearest Lifesaver. Hurry, there’s only a few of them. And if you don’t grab one fast enough, you’re left collecting cards. When you’re down to one card, scream “ROW MY GOAT”, play your card, and slap a Lifesaver to win. 

2. One (1) marketing stand to be placed next to games with discount offer of 20% off the above games and free shipping.

3. Participating hosts receive a discount of 50% off any 60+ available games. Limit 3 games per host and shipping not included.

Qualifications:

  1. If you have multiple properties, only apply with your top five (5) due to limited quantity available. DO NOT apply with more properties because we only have 100 spots available.
  2. Properties must be located in the United States (Hawaii and Alaska included).
  3. Short term and Mid-term properties are both eligible.
  4. Priority will be given to listings in the Palm Springs and Nashville areas.
  5. No P.O. boxes allowed for shipping address.

Host Requirements:

  1. Place marketing stand next to games and take at least three (3) photos. Feel free to use props and get creative.
  2. Leave display up for 6 months (until April 1, 2026).
  3. Complete the host feedback survey and upload photos through the UpClose website. Deadline to submit: December 15, 2025.
  4. Optional Bonus: If you have social media, please post with the hashtag #explodingkittens and tag @gameofkittens (IG), @explodingkittens (FB/TikTok) and @upclosemarketing. Please take a screenshot of posts and submit through the website as well.

How to Apply:

Select your listing(s) from the drop down and click "Apply" by end of day September 8th. That's it! If accepted, you will receive an invitation by September 17th with instructions about how to order. Keep in mind that one (1) order will represent the 3 game pack, so you will only see a quantity of one when you checkout.
